How to enter

All you need to do is

  • Submit a video showing you performing the wind experiment. The experiment instructions are here.
  • Tell us how many houses the 48 wind turbines will be able to power once running (hint; the answer might be in the video!)
  • Most importantly, tell us what you would name a wind turbine, and why.

We're really excited to get your entries. It's a once in a lifetime prize and each winning name will be written by Goldwind on the turbine for all to see!

Aurora Energy + Goldwind Turbines.

Aurora Energy has joined the project team to build a $300 million, 148.5 MW wind farm at Lake Echo, in the Central Highlands, near Bothwell Tasmania. Cattle Hill wind farm is expected to start generating electricity in the second half of 2019!

Tasmania - 100% renewable by 2022!

Tasmania is aiming to become totally energy self-sufficient on renewable sources by 2022. Through financial support in renewable energy projects in Tasmania, such as cattle hill wind farm, Aurora is supporting the Tasmanian Government's goal of being 100% renewable by 2022.
